Kaustuv De Biswas

An MIT-trained architect, Kaustuv De Biswas brings exceptional expertise in computational design and sustainable architecture. With a distinguished career spanning architecture and technology entrepreneurship in Silicon Valley, he offers a unique perspective that combines cutting-edge innovation with timeless architectural principles to create spaces that are both aesthetically striking and environmentally responsive.
His collaborations with world-renowned architectural practices include Norman Foster + Partners (London), Morphosis (US), MVRDV (with work exhibited at Rotterdam Biennale 2007 and Venice Biennale 2008), and dECOi Architects. As a pioneer in integrating environmental performance analysis with parametric design, he developed groundbreaking computational methods for bioclimatic architecture in collaboration with Bentley Systems (USA). His architectural vision seamlessly integrates form-finding through advanced computation, environmental responsiveness through bioclimatic principles, and material innovation bridging craft and technology.
A successful Silicon Valley entrepreneur, Kaustuv founded multiple ventures including Vibrant Data (acquired by Rakuten TYO: 4755) and Sunglass.io, a pioneering cloud-based architectural design platform featured in Techcrunch, NPR, and Wired. His academic excellence is reflected in prestigious recognitions including the TED Senior Fellowship, INLAKS Scholarship, and W Danforth Compton Memorial Fellowship at MIT. He has held faculty positions at The Ohio State University and Singapore University of Technology and Design, while serving as a guest instructor at institutions including MIT, Harvard GSD, and Columbia University. A frequent speaker at international forums including TED Conference LA and Singularity University Global Summit, Kaustuv now brings this extensive expertise to Kinale, creating exceptional living spaces that seamlessly integrate technological sophistication with environmental consciousness.

Corporate Lawyer and Real Estate Entrepreneur

Sourav De Biswas

Sourav De Biswas brings nearly two decades of experience in corporate law and is a graduate of the prestigious National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata. His expertise spans General Corporate Advisory, with particular focus on M&A transactions, Securities Laws, Foreign Exchange Laws, Corporate Governance, and Commercial Contracts. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated exceptional proficiency in complex transactions including share sales/acquisitions, business transfers, joint ventures, and court-assisted mergers/demergers, serving clients across diverse sectors including manufacturing, information technology, retail, media & entertainment, hospitality, and pharmaceuticals.

His professional journey includes three years with premier corporates like Reliance Communications and Avaya GlobalConnect, followed by 14 years at India's largest corporate law firms - Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas and Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas in New Delhi, where he spent seven years as a Partner leading the General Corporate/M&A practice.

In June 2022, Sourav embarked on two significant ventures: founding DB Legal Consultants and partnering to establish Kinale Riverside Estate LLP, a luxury real estate development firm in Goa. As co-founder of Kinale Riverside, he leverages his legal acumen and project management expertise to ensure the highest standards of compliance, integrity, and operational excellence. Having relocated to Goa in 2022, he now spearheads the growth of Kinale Riverside's real estate portfolio, bringing his professional rigor and expertise to the luxury property sector.
